this 8,200 sf library replaced an existing storefront library in the chicago dunning neighborhood. designed as part of the campus on an existing elementary school site, the exterior features a reading garden and a playground area. The building's extended eaves and horizontal design was intended to fit into its residential context. the building is heated and cooled with a geo-thermal system and received LEED gold certificate
